I've been really worried about my Dad's health so would love any and all prayers for him - hoping this is no big deal and easily treatable...definitely makes my stuff pale in comparison, I'm fine. He and I had a funny back and forth worrying about each other and not wanting the other to worry about us...and as my Dad laughed "I won't worry about you if you don't worry about me" - UM, no deal. :)
Finally, on the things-that-make-me-happy front - had two lovely surprises this week - my good girlfriend at work Ha sent me this adorable little flower and balloon arrangement! Check out this little face...he looks just like Galileo!!! He made me so very happy and it made me miss her so very much. She's my next door neighbor and partner in crime - we always are cracking each other up and I miss our daily laughter and shenanigans. My coworkers sent me the sweetest card too, it really made my day - I miss everybody so much and just can't wait to get better, damnit.
And, on the superficial front...this episode of Ellen cracked me up. I seriously want to be Melissa McCarthy's bestie, she's hysterical and this story slayed me. Enjoy:
Unfortunately, this is the first year we haven't gone to the fair and I'm so bummed about that. I had half a notion we should pay for admission and go in just to do our annual tradition of taking photo booth pics (and then leave) but even that seemed exhausting not to mention silly...so I guess we're taking a year break. Same thing with a big firework show too, though we'll at least watch the local neighborhood ones. I'm still trying to do small things to grasp normalcy when possible - we had bought tickets to Wicked months ago for the show last weekend and we still went - I was dizzy almost the whole time but still really enjoyed it. We went with our good friends Aaron and Mo (who incidentally is going through vertigo as well poor thing - dizzy sisters!) - needless to say Mo and I loved it, Aaron and Rob were bored out of their skulls :) Such troopers.
That's all for me! Will update you soon. Much love, thanks again to all for their ongoing support - xoxo
