Jess's Bday

Last night was our friend Jessica's Birthday party - a total blast.

There was a killer ping-pong tourney - here's Rob and I getting psyched and Jason (aka Jaluv) and Tara stretching it out (um, 2 guesses who takes the pong a little seriously):

Good times hanging in the back yard:

The pooches had a rockin' time too:

And all I'm gonna say is, guess who won the Pong tourney? I'm just sayin', don't mess with the Warrenski's:

POW #13 - the "wish I were in Hawaii right now" edition

Last year at this time we were blissed out with our good friends in Hana, Maui. I love this picture - not only for the good memory but it cracks me up. Karen's Mom had asked us not to use the "good blue goblets" while we were there, which of course made us rebel and want to use them MORE. So, we took several really funny pics of the blue glass in some breakable situations and then mailed her Mom a picture a day for several weeks. This John Deere drinking and driving pic is one of my favorites. Who knew I'd love riding the John Deere so much, by the way? I think I rode that thing around each day - too bad our current backyard is big enough to barely turn around in with a J.D. otherwise we might have to get one of our own. :)

Hookie Golf

Rob took a day off to join me in Mondays-off bliss - he's been trying to take off at least one Monday a month since his rockin' summer schedule. We had the greatest day today, we went golfing, had a great post-golfing "wasn't that shot the worst" kind of a lunch discussion over burgers and ended with some time at our pool. We never bring the camera golfing with us, and if you saw me golf, you'd understand why :) but today I brought it along just for fun. Please to enjoy some golf shots:

Before "the golf rage" set in:

Well, hey. At least I swing through, damnit.

Nice form, Robbio!

Nobody is safe within any distance of us in a golf cart, let's be honest. Ask us about Rob's "Superman" form off the back of our cart one time, it was freakin' hysterical.

I'm not saying our game is pretty, but at least we have fun.

Even though this video shows a horrible shot (and some horrible form, frankly - why did nobody tell me I golf like a numbnut?) I still thought Rob's commentary was pretty funny. Plus, who's that random guy at the end who walks through our shot in the back 9? He didn't even have golf gear on...what's the deal, dude?

The cutest little dog ever. Seriously.

I forgot to bring my camera to our friend's house Friday night (whew - I'm sure there was a sigh of relief that Beth wasn't going to be "that girl" again), so I didn't really have anything to blog from this weekend....except some really adorable pics of Galileo. You know we have an abnormal love for our dog. Humor me.

That sure is one sacked out puppy after a big day at Dog Beach this morning:

The boys taking a fabulous Saturday nap - how cute is this picture?

I had to get in on that love - look at our little family!

Last week Galileo protectively crashed out on top of his rawhide...as if there were tons of other dogs in our house that might sneak in and steal his bone. Ha!

Lastly, just look at that cute little mug!

POW #12 - old school afro edition

So, I realize it's been a few weeks since Robbio's birthday but I've been reminising still about great birthdays in the past. One of my favorites was my ultimate kick- butt surprise birthday for Rob's 30th in Vegas. I planned that sucker for 9 months and I give major props to all of our friends for keeping it on the down-low. I stole Rob from his work in the middle of the day and we flew to Vegas - it was at dinner at the sushi restaurant in Cesear's when he was finally surprised by our friends. Rob, of course, wore his infamous afro for the occasion (upon ever-so-slight of a suggestion by moi) and pimped the Rob masks I had made for everyone. I'm happy to say, a few people still even rock the shirts I made. Enjoy...

Warrenski fly by - part 4 (the Dad & Patti edition)

My Dad and Stepmom recently moved back to Denver so it was awesome timing to also surprise them with a visit. It's always great to be together as a family, we had a blast just hanging out and taking Abby to the park. Love you guys!!! Some highlights:

Going for a ride on Grandpa's chair (Abby loved pushing the "horn" to have us get out of the way)

Coming from all of the rain in Washington, I'm sure Dad and Patti are just soaking up the Colorado sunshine...I love this picture.

Hanging at the park:

Thanks for a great visit, guys!!!

Warrenski fly by - part 3.5 (the CSU friend edition)

We had dinner out one night in Denver with 29 of our closest old friends, ha! It was a madhouse but it was perfect to see everybody. By the end of the night it looked like a hurricane had blown through the room. It was so great to catch up and see how all the kids had grown! What a fantastic night...

Rob, Ben, Brian

Us with Ben and Christi:

Us with Trent, Christine, Marissa and new baby Mckenzie - the latest arrival in the group - such a tiny little peanut of a girl...adorable!

Christine with Carly and Mckenzie:

Us with Morgan: Ben and Laura's newest baby - she's adorable! Can't wait to see them again in October when they come out to visit Chez Warrenski.

The end of the night, those that remained:

Warrenski fly by - part 3.0 (the friend edition)

During our fly by, we were lucky enough to cram some really brief friend-time in too. We stayed with Nicole and Chad the first two nights and then with Jeff and Judi the 3rd. Big shout outs to all of those guys - both put us up while in the middle of their own home remodel disaster zones...big props for being able to handle guests during that time! I'll just say, having gone through home reconstruction of our own that I wouldn't been able to handle ANYBODY staying with us. Remind me to tell you about my Thanksgiving pity-party and meltdown sometime, it's a pretty entertaining story, ha!

Us with Nicole and her pug Rascal (sorry, Chad - for some reason the only pic I got of you this trip was you bending over in the kitchen and this blog is not meant for blackmail :)

With Jeff and Judi and little Owen, that first picture is my favorite. What a sweet memory: The little dude was on the move, it was like herding cats to take this shot...of his head.

Dude, Owen is the cutest! It had been a year since we had seen him so obviously he had changed more than a bit. He's so much fun now - talking up a storm and showing that adorable little personality of his! What a smart little boy - so freakin' observant.

Uncle Rob reading to Owen:

And walking down the street. Notice how he's making those little happy-running noises then all of a sudden says "Rachel" just because Judi did. Wow.

Warrenski fly by - part 2 (the "Who has the cutest niece ever" edition)

Man, we love our niece. As always, it was such a highlight to see her. She has the greatest imagination and is so much fun to play with. Plus, she's always saying the cutest stuff that cracks us up. Here's some pics from our weekend time with her, it's really too bad we don't love her more :)

Here's Rob being "Robot Head", plus Abby's trying out one of the knock knock jokes we taught her. Close enough.

Abby and I playing with her Build-a-Bears (that uncle Rob officiated their union, don't ya know)
Playing chase at the playground:

Tickle time with Uncle Rob and Daddy:

More fun at the playground:

Warrenski fly by - part 1 (the Jacobson edition)

Last weekend was a Warrenski fly-by through Denver - probably one of the quickest but most wonderful trip yet. We decided completely last minute to fly in to surprise everybody because it was quite a "perfect storm" of family convening all in one place and we couldn't miss out on the opportunity. Dad and Patti had moved back to Denver from Washington, my brother Chris and his wife Jen and daughter Abby were in town from Alaska, Mom from D.C. and my Aunt Theresa (aka Evil Auntie Theresa) from Washington had come as well. Perfect! Only a couple people knew we were coming (shout out to Meg and Bill, our co-conspirators) to keep the secret.

Here's the video of me surprising Mom as she walks down the stairs. Her reaction is so priceless. I've watched this tons of times and it still makes me bawl. That'll be a top 10 life moment memory, for sure:

I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world - I absolutely adore my family (and I'm not just saying that because they check my blog, I swear!). We had such a blast over at Meg and Bill's house, there was tons of laughter and reminiscing...a rockin' combo. Here's me with Theresa and Rob with Meg..."Under an Aunt's Influence"...it's like an after-school special.

My Mom bought these hysterical shirts for the girls and Grandma and here's a pic of the fam - all together finally!

And finally, lounging around in the backyard and the girls (Grandma, Mom, Me, Nan, Chris, Theresa and Meg). I love you guys so much and miss you horribly!!!!!

Here's Abby leading us all in a game of "yea!", something she used to do when she was just a toddler. Obviously we're still into it.

Enjoy some other pics:
