Last weekend was a Warrenski fly-by through Denver - probably one of the quickest but most wonderful trip yet. We decided completely last minute to fly in to surprise everybody because it was quite a "perfect storm" of family convening all in one place and we couldn't miss out on the opportunity. Dad and Patti had moved back to Denver from Washington, my brother Chris and his wife Jen and daughter Abby were in town from Alaska, Mom from D.C. and my Aunt Theresa (aka Evil Auntie Theresa) from Washington had come as well. Perfect! Only a couple people knew we were coming (shout out to Meg and Bill, our co-conspirators) to keep the secret.
Here's the video of me surprising Mom as she walks down the stairs. Her reaction is so priceless. I've watched this tons of times and it still makes me bawl. That'll be a top 10 life moment memory, for sure:
I consider myself the luckiest girl in the world - I absolutely adore my family (and I'm not just saying that because they check my blog, I swear!). We had such a blast over at Meg and Bill's house, there was tons of laughter and reminiscing...a rockin' combo. Here's me with Theresa and Rob with Meg..."Under an Aunt's Influence"...it's like an after-school special.
My Mom bought these hysterical shirts for the girls and Grandma and here's a pic of the fam - all together finally!
And finally, lounging around in the backyard and the girls (Grandma, Mom, Me, Nan, Chris, Theresa and Meg). I love you guys so much and miss you horribly!!!!!
Here's Abby leading us all in a game of "yea!", something she used to do when she was just a toddler. Obviously we're still into it.
Enjoy some other pics:
