More fun in Cabo

These are the last of our millions of Cabo pictures. I know, I know, however will you survive without a daily dose of our vacation pics? I'm not going to lie, it's going to be tough. To console yourselves, why don't you really slow down and enjoy each and every one of these. Twice.

Fun at dinner:

We went to the spa one day and Rob and I got a rockin' couples massage - he only snored one time! :)

While we were down there it was super hot so we didn't do a lot in town but a little shopping and walking around - I got a beautiful silver and mother of pearl ring from Mama Ruth and some pretty abalone earrings. Here's me with my flower ring and a flower stone mosaic (I'm so artistic, it's unbelievable).
The small little town of San Jose del Cabo is beautiful.

Like I mentioned, the resort was pretty dead so we provided our own entertainment. Here's a sampling of what the guys did each night:

And the girls:

This video is pretty dark but it's a bunch of us dancing to YMCA including Pam's Step-Dad John who frankly, had all the moves!

Adios, Cabo - we had a blast!

Halloween in Cabo

We were in Cabo for the actual day of Halloween so we didn't dress up, per se, but Steve and Pam had asked us to bring some festive head-wear. Rob of course busted out the afro and his "El Borracho" shirt (Spanish for "the drunkard) and I dusted off an old fuzzy tiara.

It makes me laugh every time Rob wear his fro, he gets this little fro bounce in his step. And now the world (at least my little blogging world) can enjoy it as well in this video...

I was impressed, people really got into it. Steve was a pimp and Pam was his devilish woman...
The pimp and all his...ladies
All week long, the resort was pretty dead so we essentially entertained ourselves at the bar each night. On Halloween night the bar had their karaoke machine out and we pretty much monopolized that gig (shocker!) the whole night. We were singing and dancing like fools, it was awesome. Actually, I wasn't dancing PER SE but more just running around and leaping in an interpretive dancing kind of way.

This video is hysterical - I think it's a nice representation of the difference between the brothers...watch Rob getting into things...and Steve running away from Carolyn cramming the mic in his face during "Baby Got Back". I love Dee Dee at the end getting into it with Rob..that's me saying "Who's that girl?" Please to enjoy...

Rob and I sang "Let it Be" at the end...I think everyone was so drunk that luckily they probably didn't even notice how horrible we were.

Good times.

POW #18 the "yo mama dresses you funny" edition

A little break from the Cabo pics....but don't worry - we'll pick back up soon when I get a chance to blog my heart out on football Sunday when I lose my hubby to the TV. ALL DAY. This old picture is in honor of my brother who we got to see last weekend with my sister in law and adorable niece. Stay tuned for those pics later too - they came down for a quick conference and we were able to meet up at Disneyland for a day.

But, anyhoo - I'm not quite sure when this pic was taken. Mom? Consultation? I'm thinking I'm probably in the 5-7 year range and Chris is probably 6-8. I'm digging the high wasted fitted pants...especially that stunning red ensemble I'm rockin'. And that tie-died shirt is probably the closest Chris ever got to being a hippie. :) I think we're standing in front of our Elementary School in Larkspur and obviously posing in a "we sure do love each other" rare moment. ha! Enjoy!

Snorkel/kayaking!

When we were in Cabo, Rob and I went on a kayaking and snorkeling trip out to the famous stone arch. We were so lucky to just be with our guide and nobody else - we felt very VIP, that's how we roll. We're really used to ocean kayaking here in La Jolla where it's super calm water but this was a pretty challenging kayaking trip. It was definitely worth it, but the water was super choppy and we had to contend with dodging water taxis and huge cruise ships on our way out. There's something pretty intimidating about kayaking right in front of a HUGE cruise ship, it makes you feel pretty tiny and hopeful the ship isn't about to start moving!
The view once we got through the choppy BayIt was really cool, we were able to kayak right up to a rock covered with sea lions...
Once we landed on "Lover's Beach" on the Sea of Cortez side, we had a blast exploring the little caves and rock formations. It's so beautiful there!

The other side is called "Divorce Beach" because the Sea and the Pacific Ocean clash there and there are some pretty serious waves! We still loved eachother even more at the end of our visit to Divorce Beach, so I'd say it was a successful day. :)

Snorkeling was pretty fun - nothing coral or tropical, but tons of fish and cool underwater rock formations. Then we headed back to land...we had to cut right in front of that cruise ship behind us in this picture, yikes! What an amazing day, though...

Is there anything better than a beach wedding? I vote no.

Steve and Pam's wedding in Cabo was beautiful - it was such a reflection of them and their relationship. It was simple and with such beautiful surroundings: overlooking the beach at sunset, it couldn't be more peaceful.
The lovely bride...

The handsome groom...
What could be better than a pastor in flip flops?

I was so honored, they asked me to read a beautiful poem during the ceremony. I almost made it without boo-hoo'ing but who are we kidding...
At the wedding...

Mama Ruth with her boys
Our newly expanded fam...

Sunset pics...

Congratulations, guys!

Cabo, baby!

We just got back from Steve and Pam's wedding in Mexico, which is my excuse why my blogging life is not yet caught up to my actual life. *gasp, the horror!* We had such an amazing time with them and all of their friends...it was extra depressing to come back to real life. We actually stayed near the small town of San Jose del Cabo, which was great to escape the crazy touristy THANG. It was truly a week of chilling at the pool with good friends, good food and good times. I'll break our trip up into a few different posts so it's not one huge mile-long "hey, does this make you want to poke out your eyeball after looking at all our vacation photos"... please enjoy our very professionally-made introductory video to our trip.

Once we escaped the dreaded Time Share Vampires in the airport, we were exhausted but thrilled to be there:

Yippie! Let's get our RELAX on!

In case you're wondering, this is literally what we did all week. We learned from the masters, our friends Pat and Deena and we bring our own pool floaties on vacation - we've named them Henrietta and Paco, they're like family at this point. We even got Mama Ruth in on the fun - in her swimsuit with a daiquiri even!!!More pool fun with Steve and Pam and friends...

I love this picture of Rob and Steve in the infiniti pool....

Stay tuned for more pics and posts to follow...

POW #17 the Halloweenie edition

We missed out on American Halloween this year (but don't feel too badly for us, we were having a blast down in Cabo and still celebrated Halloween Mexico-style...stay tuned for pics soon from that trip) so I thought I'd post one of my favorites from Halloweens past. We went as pregnant Brittney Spears and Kevin Federline one year...I love the subtle touches like our vodka bottles, cigarettes, and of course who could miss K Fed's clinging child on the leg? Priceless...
