Snow Days aka Human Bowling

Just like last year, only in San Diego would we truck in fake snow on a warm sunny day in the mid 70's while people on the east coast are grumbling and digging themselves out of feet of snow.  But, regardless of the Cali insanity, we love that our neighborhood hosts this event and we have such a blast.  Thank God we have fun neighbors and we can borrow their kids to sled with.  Rob and I took a sled run together, but apparently 2 adult butts does not make a sled go fast.  Or at all.  The perfect combo is apparently adult + tiny kid = crazy speed in order to go human bowling.

When me and BatMac went down, we were going so fast, we NAILED a poor volunteer and totally knocked him down - it was hilarious.  The rest of the day, Mac kept reminiscing and the story go bigger and bigger "Ms. Beth, remember when we knocked that guy's head off?", "Ms. Beth, remember when we made that guy's face bleed?" (we didn't, btw, he was fine), and my favorite, "Ms. Beth, remember when we killed that guy?"  hahaha!  Ah, the beauty of 3 year old memory.

Here's the two adult butts in slow motion, it's not nearly as exciting as it sounds:

And Ms. Beth and BatMac as we go down our Run Of Terror.  Too bad we have no photographic evidence of said human bowling incident, but you'll just have to trust me (and BatMac), it was pretty epic.

I love how Mackie is making his arms aerodynamic right here - I fully blame him for our speed which led to the carnage.  I'm sticking with that story.

BRONCOS.....sniff.

Pour one out for our home team.  Not even wanting to talk about that horrific Super Bowl.

BUT, to focus on a more fun topic: we went to the Broncos/Chargers playoff game a few weeks ago and had a blast!  Froze our biscuits off, but had such a blast cheering on our guys live and in person - it was so fun to be around all our peeps and all the crazy noise of the crowd.  Plus, we met up with Rob's childhood friend Ben which was an added bonus to the day.  I'm not going to lie - this San Diego girl was f-r-o-z-e-n and may or may not have taken my sweet-ass time in that beautifully warm bathroom every time I'd go, just so I could delay going back into that insane arctic tundra.  Still worth it, though, it was such a blast.  Here's some pics from the orange and blue insanity that was the polar vortex of the day:

Swallowed by the orange monsters!!!

This is not even a posed photo - this is the look I was rocking for most of the game, though every brief break we had, I'd stand up and boogie - all blue lump of me.  It kinda had a blue burkha look, and I rocked that look.
Winnahs!!!

Even G got into the spirit:

Beer Tour...aka neighborhood debauchery on wheels

For Christmas, all of our girls in the 'sac gave our guys a beer tour as a surprise...and then totally crashed the party by joining them.  Yup, that's how we roll.  We rented a huge party bus (complete with stripper pole, because all smart decisions happen with a stripper pole said NO ONE EVER) and went to 3 different breweries over a whole day span.  It was epic, and hilarious, and as the ONLY sober one (I was full-on mid-vertigo at that point so no booze for this already-dizzy girl), I had prime real estate to watch the whole thing go down...it was greatness fabulousville.

Here's some photos you're allowed to see.  For the rest I'd be kicked out of the 'hood.

I have no shame.  This was the running man.  Or at least my version of the running man.  While dizzy.  Be amazed, be very amazed.

New Year's Cray Cray!

Our neighbors had an awesome NYE party, and luckily it was only 3 houses down so it was easy to find our way home at 3am...ha!

The theme was Black & White and they had a cute little photo area set up with props - you know we love us some photo ops!!  Why am I such a sucker for mustaches?  I think we should explore this further....or not.

This is my favorite pic of the night....just pure insanity:
