On Christmas Eve, we took everybody to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants on the beach. Nice Uncle photo bomb:

Then, once we were fully carb-loaded, we went across the street to the beach!

Then, we went down to the water. Now, mind you, we San Diegoans are big weather weenies at this point and I found the water frigid, but those Alaska girls, especially Abby, loved it!
Brrrrr! No getting in the water for the Mama's! 
By the end, Abby was absolutely soaked from head to toe, but it was totally worth it watching her shriek and giggle splashing around, she was in heaven.
One day, our friends came over to meet our family, it was wonderful to have family meet our surrogate family...such a sweet moment.
