Puppy report 2

.

So, I'm thrilled to report Galileo got his stitches and staples out today - he's a free man! Well, kinda. He's still going to have to wear the CONE OF SHAME when he's by himself because he's prone to licking anything on him that doesn't have fur..counting this new little chicken leg of his. Isn't it scrawny? His scar goes all the way from the top of his knee there down the front (all the reddish parts you see) - adding to his little "frankenpuppy" fierce look.
He's so adorable, though, he's patiently lets us manipulate his little leg for "physical therapy" twice a day followed by a bone and icing. Hey, we're no crappy physical therapy office here, yo, it's high class treatment all the way! Here he is getting iced:

He got to go on his very first short walk tonight and he seemed to lightly touch his foot down occasionally. Definitely not weight bearing yet but the vet said that'll take months - but overall our Vet was really encouraged by G's progress. Woohoo, star pupil!

Thanks everyone for all your fluffy warm thoughts and prayers - they've worked and we have a happier, hungrier and more active little guy back. Much love! Arf!

so sweet!! Keep up the healing, little man!

Also, word verification fun "acklew"

She had, like, a major date with the captain of the football team, but, like, totally didn't have, like, acklew what she should wear.
