Attack of the flora...

The Warren's plants have taken over! It's so exciting to see everything finally growing in and coming along. I'd say the most fun to watch are those adorable little hummingbirds that buzz and dive bomb each other in the backyard. We truly can sit out there for hours and watch them go. We have nicknames for all of them, there's Harry the Redneck, Beyonce with the bright purple/pinks and "Other Guy" who's got the most blah of colors but is really the sweetest. Here's Other Guy in all his glory. Our little orange tree is kicking butt - look at this little guy in Rob's hand!
The lemon tree is trying hard, but just can't keep up with his cooler and much bigger cousin the orange. Look at those little guys! And my tomatoes are going nutso! I got suckered into this Topsy Turvey planter by the guy at Ace Hardware but it's really working out...these were literally just tiny seedlings 3 weeks ago!

Same with my cucumber plant...
And our fresh basil! Can't wait - we plan to make a pesto this week and also garnish some quinoa...slurp!

Our carpet roses are finally...well....carpeting the front. Way to do your job, roses! And our regular roses are slow on the uptake, but we have a couple fighters.

The hydrangeas outside the front door are going gangbusters...aren't they cool? I tried to plant some before when we lived closer to the ocean and they croaked...so hopefully these will make it!

And now to the inside - we have 2 plants that have continually died, so I'm damn determined to find the right plant for the dark spots. Isn't this plant the coolest? I love it's gorgeous purple and green colors...it's the new plant in our loft, replacing a horribly murdered palm. RIP, Palm, I did my best.
And here's the new peace lilly we planted in the spare bedroom. So, just so you know - only peace is allowed in that room. No fighting! :)

And look at these gorgeous flowers we got for our anniversary! Thanks, Dad and Patti - they're gorgeous!
(ok, I realize that might be the 2nd most boring blog posting you've ever seen, but oh well. I've falling off the blogging bandwagon and have just been phoning it in for a while...don't hate).
