La Quinta goodness

We rented a house in La Quinta last weekend with friends and we had such a blast! It was hot as blazes - around 110-120 during the day and it didn't get much cooler at night. We drove up around 8 pm on Friday and it was still 107, ballz!Luckily the house had a pool and we completely lived in it. It's funny, I brought tons of clothes with me (shocker) and the only thing I ended up wearing were 2 pairs of shorts and the rest was swimsuits all the way.

The guys braved the heat one day to golf, which was insanity! By the time they got home in the afternoon, they looked absolutely melted. We girls took off to the spa then, so I think we got the better end of THAT deal :)

The house was GLORIOUS! Huge, right on a golf course - we'd rent there again in a heartbeat. Of course we'd have fun together anywhere we'd go but it didn't hurt to be staying in paradise.

It was cute, the guys would play on the golf course at night and Bennett LOVED being a part of it, he kept saying "LOOK! I'm playing golf with the guys!". He also was quite a handy ball-catcher and ran down to get a runaway pool beach ball in the middle of the day...nekkid as a jaybird...while the next foursome waited to tee off, haha!

Ruby was absolutely darling too, a fabulous vacation buddy. Here she is sporting her mohawk, her amazingly sweet little legs and doing her adorable arm-flappy excitement thing:

At one point I had a "brilliant" science idea...to fry an egg on the sidewalk because it was so freakin' hot! I thought for sure it would work, but wah wah wah...nope! Mythbusters, you can suck it.
