Our garden is on crack!

Well, the good kind, that is. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to garden and watch our front and backyards take off - Rob and I both love to spend time out there and can easily piddle away hours poking around. Ok, I guess I AM able to tell you how happy it makes me...

Anyhoo - the roses are finally taking off although we've discovered a bit of a caterpillar problem. Funny how I can be Ms. Good-Kharma-don't-harm-another-living-being until said being attacks MY plants and then I'm a killer ninja wielding bug spray. Take that, caterpillars, go sell crazy somewhere else!

Same with the hydrangeas, check those puppies out!

Our cukes and tomatoes haven't grown any veggies yet but they look about ready to pop.

We've eaten our basil several times now and I tell you what, there is something so fun about going out to the back yard to pick some herbs and then use them right away in a recipe, delish! We added it to quinoa with feta and tomatoes last week and this week I made fresh pesto for pasta...seriously amazing but I think I over-garlicked. Our breath could have flattened Godzilla.

I just planted more veggies for the fall this week including jalapenos, green and yellow bell peppers, cilantro and eggplant...can't wait!

And the plumeria hasn't croaked, so I'm prtty stoked on that...

The gardening assistant can be credited for all the bounty...
