Nothing wrong with a delicious BBQ!

I'm a week behind on my blogging, what has the world come to? I have a good excuse, though, we've been embarking on the next step of Warrenski-hood and are shopping for a house! I fear this may become an all-consuming feat, so if you don't hear from us for a while, just know we're fine and searching hard for the next Warren castle. Stay tuned on that front!

Last weekend, though, was a nice mellow one - we had a get-together with our friends for a casual BBQ. And, just like if a tree falls in a forest and no one hears it falls...do events really take place if I don't have my camera? I think not. We'd intended to host the BBQ for friends who were coming into town - we were super bummed when their plans changed but decided to have the BBQ anyway...I'm pretty sure we never need an excuse to get together and eat.

The Tichy's were sweet to host - speaking of houses, I have terrible house envy with it comes to Chez Tichy - their place is legit. I would love to live in a house like that when I finally grow up, but let's be honest, that's still a long way away. :)

Kicking it in the killer backyard:

We had a bit of a beer-situation with some frozen beers...quite entertaining to watch them explode on other people...certainly not so funny when you're on the receiving end. :)

Good thing Aaron didn't get pulled over on the way home, he smelled like a homeless guy after this debacle.

I'm an idiot and dressed for the weather that I wanted, not the actual weather that was. Therefore, the denim skirt quickly got traded for a pair of Jason's sweats. I'm not saying it's a look, but, the saggy sweats crotch situation may have turned a few heads. Here I let out my inner gansta in my sweats while Rob actively cheers me on.
It's too bad none of us love our dogs:
G wasn't too stoked on this situation - Bear claimed me as his own for the afternoon.
Galileo is becoming such an old guy, he poops out so quickly now at social events it kinda makes me sad. But on a cute note, he has such an adorable little old guy snore now.
As always, Bennett will NEVER complain of no attention from his "aunts and uncles".

Of course, I love any excuse to let my inner dork out:And so does Tichy - it's nice to not be the only one.
Pounds of carne asada, enough cheese to clog an artery or two, and being surrounded by our sweet friends - the successful mix to a delicious BBQ!

oh so much fun! I was so excited to go to my blog and see that yours was updated 2 hours before! Hooray! :) Congrats on house hunting!! looks like a fun bbq. We used to take our dogs to the gatherings, but we neighbors are all dumb and got huge dogs, so now it's just a PITA. You cracked me up with the tree falling in the woods comparison. EXCELLENT!!
