House update: we have floors!!!

Our good friends Jason and Tara joined us today at our house, and we were stoked!

So much had changed, especially since we were locked out last weekend and couldn't get inside. There are trees lined up and ready to be put in, not sure if they're for our front yard or the common greenway out front, but either way it's exciting and oh-so official to see greenery going in!

Most importantly, we have hardwood floors! I'm not going to lie, I got a little misty-eyed seeing them, they're absolutely gorgeous! Obviously they're all dusty and dirty right now, but you get the drift. We picked a really dark, distressed wood so when Galileo gets his nightly zooms, he won't jack it up.

And, we have bathroom tile in all 3 bathrooms as well! Here's where the downstairs bathroom tile meets the hardwood flooring, so pretty.

And we have bathroom sinks as well! Here's the powder room downstairs:

It was fun showing the Tichy's our two favorite rooms, the closet:

And holy crap, I LOVE LOVE LOVE our master bathroom! The tile is so freakin' beautiful:

And the shower door and faucets are just stunning:

I would imagine by next week, they will have started some of the landscaping....get to work, guys, Rob will show you how it's done:

Here's a little preview of some of our new furniture too, we went and "visited" the floor model of our new couch this weekend as well to make sure our color scheme was cruising along - here's our couch color (different configuration than the one we've designed but you get the idea) with one of our curtains laid down on it up front, beautimous!
