House update: we have countertops and sidewalks!

Today, it was really striking driving into the neighborhood and see it look like a real 'hood! The sidewalks are in and it looks great, plus all eight Phase 1 homes are really coming along, it's stunning.
We brought G to the house again today, it was so fun having him there and imagining what our lives will be like in just a month! That's right: September 9th is now on target for our move in date, isn't that insanity? Anyhoo, this time Galileo made it SUPER evident he's made the house his own (although technically...I think he was over the fence line into our neighbor's side yard...oops. But don't worry, I picked it up, good dog-owning karma and all).

Our garage door has been painted, it looks great!
I have no idea why, but our front door is a slate blue/grey to match the front shutters. I think it's lame but Rob's into it, so that's good. And really, if that's the only part of our house I don't like, I'd say I'm still a really lucky girl.
It was such a glorious day today - and it's always so emotional and awesome being at our place. I like this shot of the sky:
The railings were finally uncovered, they're gorgeous with the stain color! I'm not ashamed to say I actually got a little boo-hoo emotional looking at them, they're beautiful!
Turns out my power of prediction is dead-on....we got exactly what we were hoping for this week: countertops in the kitchen and bathrooms!

It's lovely, we're so happy how it turned out - it looks beautiful next to the cabinets.

We have a kitchen sink too, woot!

The other exciting thing is we have doorknobs! They're super pretty in the brushed bronze...goes really well with our Tuscan rustic aesthetic. Same with our bathroom accessories, they're awesome:

It was so fun to see our bathrooms come together too and get to see all the tile that we picked out and upgraded! Here's the downstairs powder room (sans sink, obviously) and shower.

Here's the spare bedroom bathroom:

and finally, our master bedroom tile - it's so incredible, I love it!

And can you dig this huge mirror in our bathroom? It's monstrous...glad I wasn't the girl that had to hang that...yikes:

It all makes me so happy! And apparently, same with G:

That's it for now, just scrambling for the next 4 weeks getting ready for the big move numero dos! We have been buying things gradually along the way but now that the move is just around the corner, we've kicked it into high gear. Last weekend we bought some gorgeous outdoor furniture for the courtyard and this weekend we bought a mattress for our bedroom. I'd say it's a good sign that I actually fell asleep on it in the middle of Macy's...no joke! Next up is bedroom furniture and living room furniture....and then before you know it, we'll be in our house! So exciting I could just pee.

Looking good you too. I love the stair rail! And I agree with Robbio, the front door is sharp. JPP
