some house updated deets...

Not a whole lotta personal blog updates recently, I realize, but haters can suck it. Or, maybe on a not-so-harsh way, my apologies. We've been super busy with fun social stuff lately but not too many activities are photographed, so therefore cannot be blogged. Which leads one to ponder the eternal question: if an event happens and it is not blogged about, did it actually happen? Crank up the Pink Floyd and chew on that for a while.

In the meantime, we HAVE done a bunch to the house. We painted the remaining white rooms - no more white walls other than in our master closet! We even had the laundry room painted to match the rest of our hallway - our poor painter was wedged behind the washer/dryer forever, poor thing. I'm sure he was cursing us under his breath. I sure do love to do laundry in there now, especially because staring at our hall of fame/shame (funny pics from our life and loved ones) makes me so happy.
We also painted the front porch room, a very pretty warm dark beige. Our painter is truly the best - not only does he do great work but he accidentally kicked over a can of the dark paint on our light carpet in there and he totally paid to have it replaced....that same night! He got a very similar color installed and it's even better quality than the rest of the house, awesome accident for us! I was joking that he would be welcome to wander throughout the house knocking over other paint cans so we could upgrade the rest of the carpet...I have to say his response to my joke was not so strong- poor dude was probably ready to bolt after that crazy long day. But the end result was lovely! We also had painted our office a few weeks ago - to a LOVELY dark chocolate brown. Not Sexual Chocolate (!) but it's called "NERD"...awesome, right? Perfect for an office. It looks gorgeous, and Galileo sure does look lovely next to it :)The guest bath finally was painted a dark blue, it's way cool with all our tropical vacation pics.
We had to redo the loft after a touch-up fiasco that we'd be happy to tell you about over drinks some day...probably doesn't look that much different to you, but we're pretty happy with it. And again, painter of the century, love that guy. I was actually sad to see him go now that all our walls are covered! Up next: we should get our white plantation shutters we ordered a few weeks ago in soon...stay tuned for that excitement! I'm sure you can barely wait, haha!

Does he travel? Maybe your painter can come by and knock over some paint in our upstairs area, then accidentally punch a hole in the wall, and then clumsily move the bathroom from...here.... over to here.

Good plan, right?
