We picked Dave and Heather up on Thursday, here they are looking surprised (and completely natural, right?)
I had missed her so much, I haven't seen then since we were last in Tahoe skiing back in 2008!
The next day Heather was surprised by Aunt Chris and then by Aunt Meg later in the day - I unfortunately had to work so I missed out on the big reveals, but we all met up that evening for dinner on the beach at sunset which was lovely.
The next morning was so fun, we had brunch at our place and the last big surprise was my cousin Noelle walking in the door - Heather was so surprised and it made me cry watching her cry, boohoo's are catching, you know.
And, Meg tried on Galileo's surgery cone in one of those "you had to be there but we were about to pee our pants" moments. 
After that, we piddled around Balboa park and then ate some more! (astute observers are going to sense a theme here).
We had this nice unsuspecting tourist guy taking this family photo when suddenly Dave drops. Did he have a sudden heart attack? Sudden onset of the dry-bends? Post-mojito jimmy legs? Why no, Dave is clearly a Master Planker.....it freakin' slays me and I love these pics. More on planking later.
After that planking gem, Dave also turned us on to "Phooning"...who knew there was such a thing?
And then Heather's bus came to pick her up now that she's 40.
And then after tons of food and booze, you know what we needed more of? You got it, food and booze! On to the top of the Hyatt for drinks and gorgeous views...(more on what happened in the parking structure there later...what a great tease I am, eh?)
