So my physical therapist put me through all of my objective tests and I aced them all - I nailed all of the balance, sensory/motor, etc, which is wonderful! I still feel pretty foggy/fatigued easily and do still have dizziness intermittently which is apparently pretty normal with this nerve damage (she explained there's a sensory disconnect like someone with an amputation that can still feel their lost limb). I'm getting better at identifying my triggers to the fog/fatigue so I'm just taking it really easy and going into work one day a week for now. But so far, so good and it feels amazing to be working again. I'm being really gentle with myself and going slowly building up my practice and I'm also doing some supervision for people with their masters degrees working towards licensure and that has also been so fulfilling.
All in all, both things feel really right, and even on my toughest days, I'm pushing through and am celebrating my return to the working world. Am hoping that the fog lifts soon, but in the meantime I'm just celebrating the big victories: driving, working, not being bruised all over and not falling down all the time :), etc.
My office space is gorgeous too! It's in La Jolla in a beautiful office building and it is such an added bonus to be in such a great space. Here are a few pics of my digs:
