BAAAAAWSTON was wicked fierce

Rob has to go to Boston a lot for work and usually he knows about his trips so last minute that I'm not able to join him. But this time we knew and with my new work schedule of only 4 days a week, we were able to extend it into a fun little vaca! Rob was there all week and then I joined him for 4 days of fun. We had such a blast - what a cool city that Beantown is! We took WAY too many pictures as always, but I'll try to spare you and just show you some highlights. For those who are gluttons for punishment and would like to peruse ALL the photos, here's the snapfish link:

At a pub with our friends Tim and Ann (Rob's coworkers who live there - the 3 of them are thick as thieves when Rob goes to "work") Good times followed by some wicked stellar dart playing.

Apparently the guy who wrote "Make Way for Ducklings" (a fav of mine as a kid) is from Boston, so they have these cute duck statues in the park. 'Nuf said on this one.

Here's a video of us on a swan peddle boat together - you might notice I say something about our swan peddler being a "good conversationalist" - the dude totally ignored us when we tried to chat him up. Disgruntled employee, I guess. And our friend Tim's last name is Swan, by the way, and we decided we discovered the island where he was born.

Of course we had to do the tourist thing and pose in front of the "Cheers" bar

We pigged out a lot - the food there is amazing! We went to the North End a few times for awesome Italian...here's us with our cappuccino's and cannoli at Caffe Vittoria, slurp!

And of course, when in Boston, oysters and clam CHOWDAH

We went to one amazing Italian place called Giacomo's that is so good, there's a line just to be seated all the way down the street! Totally worth the wait, carb loading here we come! Here's me waiting in line and then us after our carbtastic meal.

And finally, some silly pics for you, it's really too bad we don't have any fun on vacation:

We were staying at the Liberty Hotel, a converted old prison - very swanky despite what you'd think!

And the last little gem: a clip of us on the duck boat tour. The color got all screwed up on this, but I think it adds to the quirkiness of the experience. Let's have 2 guesses on who bought some duck lips (and who was the only one of board to do so, despite it being mostly children! ha!)
