We're huge dorks. No, really, I know it comes as a surprise.

So, it all started with an innocent picture frame. I bought the cutest shadow box frame that included a spot for a 4x6 picture and a little clay kit to capture your dog's footprint. Galileo is getting a little older and while he's FAR from old man status, I still am in this mode to capture him in every way we can. So, I bought the frame and realized I didn't have a good picture to put in it.

So then, I decided I would drag us (literally, Robbio was a great sport but SO not into what followed) to one of those Picture People studio's because they had done a great job with our friends kids and they don't charge for the sitting. I figured we could go for a few shots and presto, we'd have our frameable shot.

Well....the pics turned out amazing but the experience was less than fabulous. Imagine, if you will, the day before Mother's Day (Hey! I didn't even consider late last-minute shoppers would be giving photos for mothers' day!) at a mall..it was insanity. We were all dressed up in our matching outfits (again, my idea, Rob is a saint) waiting in the waiting room with our dog on our laps while 18 million (give or take) slobbery and hysterically crying toddlers are running around getting yelled at by their poor, frazzled parents. It was stellar.

The shoot was quick, thank God, but then we had to come back the next day sans dog (and after a long sweaty day of golf and helping our friends move into their new home, mind you) and sit through the same insanity for an hour before we could look through our shots! Needless to say, we quickly picked a few and were outta there.
The shadowbox is so cute, G's paw print is adorable, and I love the shots of all of us. Thanks for our friends who we mooched for their scanner (shout out to the Rollins!), here they are for you to enjoy as well!!

I know, I know. We don't have kids and have no place in family photo studios, but don't hate. They turned out great. I know I'm biased, but seriously, how cute is our doggy?
