Nerdlingers, unite!

Yesterday was ComiCon with our buddies and we had an absolute blast. I feel almost hungover today after all the walking (bloody stumps!) and sensory overload (costumes and famous people galore!). It is so freakin' fun to walk around and look at all the die-hard people dressed up as their favorite characters...it's clearly an excuse to let your inner freak out. I love the fact that it's no longer just about comics but there's tons of pop culture to experience. We of course used the day as a big photo op and were thrilled to get to sit in on the Heros and Lost TV show panels as well. They even showed us the entire 1st episode of Heros that will coming out later in the Fall, it was incredible! The Lost panel was great too, we learned some secrets for next year but mostly, and not a shocker here, just got more confusing information.
Here's some highlights from all the nerdery. Mine and Paige's absolute highlight: getting to meet Fred Savage! He looks the same as he did as a kid and he was super nice and gracious for all of our freak-outedry. We're going to have to arm wrestle for who gets to be Winnie.

The guys pretending to be Hans Solo next to the authentic movie set:

Some interesting costumes:

Indy's sign on his walker reads: Raiders of the Lost AARP. Brilliant!

At the end of the night, only the 3 die-hards remained, and Dave, Rob and I participated in the downtown-wide treasure hunt that the producers of the new TV show Fringe staged...our last clue led us to the top of a parking garage where they were showing the pilot episode. Good times. Not sure yet what I think about the show but it was a cool experience, very creative!

And more pics to enjoy:
