Christmas Eve was really neat - my Aunt Joanne and Uncle Olie and two cousins, Val and Josh, came out from Colorado for Christmas Eve dinner. Well, they didn't exactly come all the way just for Xmas Eve dinner at the Warrens - I wouldn't try to claim our cooking skills are THAT legendary. :) Olie and Val were heading down to Mexico to help build houses with their church so the family spent some San Diego time before making the trek. It was great to see them and catch up, good times.
Christmas Day was HEAVEN! We had thrown around all sorts of different options but ended up just spending the day together in our jammies, we had such a nice day. You know it's a quality 5 star day when you have to change OUT of your jammies just to walk the dog in the afternoon (and promptly change right back into them of course). We talked to all our family by phone and really reflected how blessed we are to have such love in our lives. We are buying each other bikes so we kept the gifts to a minimum but we both still got some wonderful gifts from others: gift cards, money towards the bikes, a beautiful necklace (mine, not Rob's, although he did get a watch!), photos, chili and salsa gift pack and lots more. We didn't take many pics, but here's a few from our loot taken with our cell phones, so excuse the low quality (of photography, not low quality models, of course):
Rob scored with a great Broncos hat and pilsner glass, he's super stoked and has already broken both in. I love his Festivus shirt he was wearing too.

I got what has turned out to be one of my favorite possessions ever, I have dubbed him "Barry the Bear" - he's this amazing heavy, cozy fake fur blanket and he's just about the best thing ever to read under. See the jealous look on Galileo's face, he keeps trying to claim Barry for his own but he's not gonna win that fight, no siree.
And the funniest gift by far was actually a score from a White Elephant gift exchange with my book club girlfriends - Janie was so sweet to pass it over my way for Rob and he loves it. It's a dip bowl in the shape of a football...and when you open it, well...just wait for it and enjoy: The funniest thing is you're under a time-crunch to get your chip in and out...I guess it prevents double dippage!
