It's all happening, people! 4 days until move in!!!! We went by the house Saturday but weren't able to go inside - they had it all locked up and protected for the official walk through on Tuesday. We were able to peek in the windows and see that they had finished the kitchen - the microwave was in, drawer pulls and cabinet handles were on....etc, but we decided not to take any pics. It will be like the big reveal on the walk through on Tuesday, we're so over the moon excited for it all to happen!
We will do the walk through Tuesday morning and go into work late that day, then work a whole day Wednesday and will be off until the next week. The insanity will start Thursday morning - you should see our "to-do" lists...they would make you proud of our organizational skills. Or scared. Either way, we've had to be super organized because there's so much happening every day. Here's a sampling:
Thursday:
8:00 pick up uHaul
10:00 final walk through and get keys to the house! Have Rob carry me through the front door of our castle.
11:15 swing by urgent care after Rob throws out his back and drops me on my head. Bandage us both up.
11:30 go back to the rental and pack up all the stuff we've accumulated over these past 7 months...whew! Take a photo and tryout to be on the show Hoarders.
1:00 pick up outdoor furniture on way to new house
1:30-???unpack said crap into our new garage for the professional movers to contend with tomorrow.
Doggy door gets installed
Friday:
8:00 leave rental for the last time, say adios to the 6 AM jazzercise freaks above us and the neighbor who freaks out if you shut the gate too loud.
10:00 professional movers meet us at our house and bring us all our old crap - it will be like Christmas unpacking all of the stuff we've forgotten about!
12-4: AT&T installs internet and Best Buy delivers TV
Saturday:
Macy's delivers the mattress (notice the priorities here, TV before mattress)
Lowe's delivers the washer and dryer
Direct TV sets up satellite
Hopefully friends deliver cocktails and pizza (hint hint)
Sunday:
painters come
we unpack like crazy
etc
etc
etc
