Fair-travaganza

We went to the fair with our friends Jason and Alex this weekend - it was awesome: beer festival and roller derby, what better combo is that?

The boys were pretty stoked with the beer fest and I planted myself at the roller derby rink - I'd never seen that in person and it was hysterical! I had a blast watching the girls pummel each other that I completely forgot to take pictures...but you'll just have to picture the glory yourselves. I even got asked to try out for the San Diego team but, pass, I really like my teeth the way they are, thanks. Had good fun trying to think up my roller derby name though. The winner? Legs LaDouche, thankyouverymuch.

After all that beer and girl fights, we headed out to stuff ourselves silly with fried goodness. My favorite is still the fried pickles, but I also tried the fried zucchini this year and it wasn't bad:

Alex tempted us with all sorts of fried goodness: fried smores, fried pop tarts, fried avocado, fried twinkie...good lord, my arteries just clogged.

And seriously? They actually offered a fried stick of butter this year, blech! We didn't go that far and taste that one, I mean, good lord, that's a horrible concept, a cardiologist's worst nightmare.

The boys were also into the pork chop on a stick:

After becoming poster children for overeaters anonymous, we headed out to test our fair games skillz. Big winners!!

And lastly, you know we love photo cutouts and photo booths, good times:
