Other things seen at the new house

Kind of a random blog coming up, but I didn't know what to do with the rest of our random pics from the first 2 weeks in our new house. I plan to eventually go room to room taking photos and videos once things are all hung on the walls...stay tuned for that, but for now, enjoy yourself some randoms.

The first official nap on the big couch - it's seriously a narcoleptic-aid. If you have insomnia, drop on by for a snooze!
Galileo loves to plant himself at the top of the stairs and watch the world go by. Poor buddy barked himself hoarse the first day we went back to work and I picture him up there all day protecting our new space. Luckily, he got over that within a day or two and now he's such a contented little buddy.

We live near some beautiful canyons and you can hear the yips of coyotes at night - yikes! But, the sound is actually pretty enjoyable and we just make sure to either walk Galileo before sunset, or we stay within the lit neighborhood. I'm excited to do some trail running and see all the other wildlife, but for now, here's some of the local "wildlife" at our house:

Since we're a straight shot from the ocean through Carmel Valley, we get the hot air balloon traffic and it's so beautiful to watch! These first two pics were taken from our front door one evening, and I followed the one landing while I was out walking Galileo and it landed right down the road from us, in a construction zone - so fun!
Some other shots (hey, I told you they were random) of the neighborhood at night, it's lovely:

The pool and nearby playground:

We still had our cars parked outside the garage at this point waiting for the garage epoxy to dry, but at least you get the idea.

In the morning we've been getting some lovely ocean fog which has made my morning runs quite beautiful and peaceful.
