TMI post!

Ok, so really, this post may be TMI and SUPER boring unless you are one of the following (1) one of our parents (2) live out of town and may never visit Warrenskiville, or (3) one of our stalkers and ALL ABOUT all things Warren. If you are none of the above, I will not blame you if you choose to skip this post entirely and head on down to Nates Butt Farm...might be more interesting for you.

Here are the much-promised and long-overdue pics of our semi finished house! We've been working like mad to get things done, or at least in a live-able, show-able state, and I believe we've achieved that. Of course, we still have window coverings and more paint to do and there seems to always be the need to Accumulate! More! Crap! But for the most part, we feel really settled and content, some of us more than others.

I wanted to show the out of town folks what the house looks like right now and I think it's beautiful! I'm so proud to show it off. Here's a mix of some videos and photos. The outside and walking up:

The entry, "porch room" and powder room. The Porch Room is thus dubbed because we have no real purpose for the room except to house my piano and our pull out couch, to be used whenever we have a bunch of guests. Eventually we want to paint this room, I think I have an aversion to white walls :) but we're not yet sure on a color. Otherwise we're pretty done in these rooms. I hung those temporary linen shades on the windows, but obviously they'll all have to be covered (for real) sometime in the future. But for now, I love me some temporary shades! When we moved in and realized we had 32, count 'em 32 windows, and then we started getting quotes on real shutters and shades...yikes! Temporary it is!

The powder room is actually the same color as our old living room at our prior place, but you may have already figured that out if you're playing from home. :)
The kitchen, dining room and living room.

We're pretty much done here except as you can see, we seem to have misplaced our dining room chairs. It was a really specific thief looking only for chairs. No, not really, we just can't afford them yet. Stay tuned. I love this space! We finally got the chandelier raised so no more bonking our heads, plus my view of Matt Lauer while I'm cooking my morning omelet is no longer obscured. Whew, crisis averted.

Living room area:

The garage - Rob is stoked about the garage epoxy and tuff racks.

The courtyard and back "yard" with the wood chips and some plants & flowers.
The stairs upstairs and the loft and master bedroom.

The loft color is called "Wood Chip" and it's a few shades darker than the entryway/hallway color, Toffee. It turned out really cool. I'm really enjoying hanging in the loft, it's such a cozy place to watch TV or read..plus I work out there some mornings - perfect amount of room to bounce around to an exercise tape (I figured if we're TMI'ing it, I might as well go all the way).

The master bedroom and bath colors turned out so beautiful, very soothing. I freakin' love our bed, mattress and whole setup in there, we've had nothing but good nights sleeps since we moved, whew!
Our bathroom is legit as well - I haven't had a good soak tub since I was a kid, so I was in absolute heaven when I took my first bath and most my body was actually submerged, woot!

Sorry, didya barf?

Next up: spare bedroom, laundry room and office.

Guest bath, we plan to paint this a really rich, dark blue since we have all of our tropical photos in here:

We just had our spare bedroom painted last weekend in anticipation for our first official guests next weekend, Nicole, Chad and Karaline - can't wait to have you out here, your room is all done!!!Notice there is a Rob Afro cutout in the laundry room plant. That, and the corkboard photos really make the chore of laundry pretty darn enjoyable. That, and our amazing new washer/dryer. LOVE them, we feel so spoiled!!!We still need to paint in the office, I want to do it in a similar color to our last office, a dark chocolaty brown. Again with the white walls - hate them! But otherwise, love our new office, it's so nice to have so much space to grow. Mama's going to need more bookshelves, try not to notice how cramped the shelves are with books. Hey, I told you not to notice!

Anyhoo, thanks for coming by! That's the dream house, we're so very happy here.
